Hats off to the Senate Intelligence Committee for coming up with bipartisan measures to protect our election process. The measures include switching to paper ballots, securing voting databases and clearly communicating to our adversaries attacking our elections is a hostile act.

Of course trump jumped right in to congratulate the Senators for taking such strict measures. No he didn’t, of course not! No, trump used the day to call Putin, despite strict instructions not to do so qnd made no reference to the Senate’s action. Some people say trump asked Putin if Putin could help him win by 76% in 2020.

On again and off again buddy SC Senator Lindsay Graham remarked: “What’s disappointing is apparently the President didn’t mention the poisoning of the two people in Britain or the continued interference in our elections. Every time you talk to Putin and you give him a pass that emboldens him.”, and his buddy AZ Senator John McCain said: “An American president does not lead the Free World by congratulating dictators on winning sham elections.”

Always cheerful and ever buoyant White House Press Secretary said: “We don’t get to dictate how other countries operate…We can only focus on the freeness and the fairness of our elections…” Too bad no one told her VP Pence will be giving a speech today calling on Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro to hold free and fair elections.

You can take it to the bank the irony will be lost on trump too busy dreaming about winning by 76% in 2020.

Meanwhile the chasm continues to deepen with the Facebook Data Breach when Cambridge Analytica CEO Alexander Nix was suspended for spilling the beans in an undercover interview about the real mission of his company’s involvement with the trump election. Surely by now trump has labeled it fake news.

And Facebook pulled all its employees into the break room to talk about their involvement with Cambridge Analytica. In the meeting Mark Zuckerberg said absolutely nothing because he was nowhere to be found.

Brian Beutler at Crooked Media sums it all up writing: This week’s revelations about the lawlessness of Trump’s data firm, Cambridge Analytica, are stunning in their own right but blend seamlessly into the culture of impunity Trump has built around himself. Pluck nearly any Trump-administration outrage out of the litany—his self-enrichment and openness to bribery, his cabinet full of grifters bilking the public for ludicrous travel perks and other dubious expenses, his campaign’s collaboration with Russians subverting the election—and it fits a picture of continued indifference to rules and the well-being of people outside his circle. The pivot to serving the public interest never happened.

In the weather today Stormy Daniels reported she passed a lie detector test in 2011 regarding her claim she had unprotected sex with Donald Trump and her lawyer bought the rights to the video preventing trump’s team from squashing it.

But wait, there’s more

Daniels’ lawyer has also claimed that she was threatened physically to keep quiet about her relationship with Trump, which Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen denies.

Daniels tweeted this incredible statement: “Technically I didn’t sleep with the POTUS 12 years ago. There was no sleeping (hehe) and he was just a goofy reality TV star. But I digress…People DO care that he lied about it, had me bullied, broke laws to cover it up, etc. And PS…I am NOT going anywhere. Xoxoxo” Hugs and kisses, indeed.

Who’ll stop the rain?

Because, ex-Playboy model Karen McDougal is suing to get out of a legal agreement she made with the National Enquirer’s parent company to pay her in exchange for exclusive information about her alleged affair with Donald Trump. AND a New York judge ruled that former Apprentice contestant Summer Zervos’ defamation suit against Trump related to sexual harassment allegations may go forward.

You go girls! Girl Power!

  1. LONDON (AP) — The Latest on the alleged use of Facebook data to influence the U.S. presidential election (all times local):

    11:15 a.m.

Company filings show that Trump-affiliated data-mining firm Cambridge Analytica has a link to a Chinese security and logistics company run by Erik Prince, the former mercenary who founded private military company Blackwater.

British corporate records show that Alexander Nix, the suspended chief executive of Cambridge Analytica, is also director of a company called Emerdata Ltd. that was incorporated in August 2017.

Other Emerdata directors include people associated with Cambridge Analytica, along with Johnson Ko Chun Shun, who was appointed in January.

Ko is also deputy chairman of Hong Kong-based Frontier Services Group, whose chairman is Prince.

FSG has attracted attention because of concerns Prince plans to provide special forces veterans to assist Chinese companies investing in risky locations overseas.

China’s biggest state-owned company, Citic, is a major FSG shareholder.
